Skin treatment using photo rejuvenation produces great results because it is most often used to treat the full face, neck, chest (décolletage) or hands rather than addressing a single isolated area or imperfection, and partly because of the lack of downtime or need for a prolonged recovery period afterwards.
IPL to rejuvenate your skin, making you feel more confident
IPL skin rejuvenation therapy represents an amazing breakthrough in the safe treatment of a variety of skin conditions.
- Age spots
- Broken capillaries
- Pigmented Lesions
- Spider veins
- Sun spots & sun damage
- Visible blood vessels
How does IPL Photo Rejuvenation work?
For optimal results, New Life Clinic WA uses a medical strength IPL machine at our Claremont private clinic to safely, gently and effectively treat multiple skin conditions. The light is directed into the skin and then absorbed by small blood vessels within the epidermis and dermis. The skin heats up and causes mild and reversible thermal damage to the epidermis, then the skin acts to repair this by increasing the rate of production of collagen which smoothes the skin texture, fine lines and wrinkles. You may also notice a more uniform complexion and pigmentation of the skin.
Getting the best out of IPL Photo rejuvenation
Once you have booked in for your treatment it is best to avoid tanning (including fake tan) for about 6 weeks before treatment.
At your initial consultation, one of our experienced dermal therapists will analyse your skin and recommend the most suitable treatment to achieve optimal results for you. Our therapist will discuss all aspects of the treatment with you and answer any questions you may have. Once in the IPL room you will lrelax on the treatment bed and place some laser goggles on (for safety). Treatment will begin and takes approximately 15-30 minutes for your face but up to 2 hours for larger areas such as your back or both legs.
Our IPL Skin rejuvenation therapy is not painful and most patients describe slight discomfort like a small pinprick or burning sensation as the light energy is absorbed by the skin and heats up. No anaesthesia is required for IPL.
The number of sessions required varies from person to person and varies depending on the area being treated. For effective IPL skin photorejuvenation, New Life Clinic WA recommends a 3 – 4 treatments performed at 2-3 week intervals.
Rosacea is a chronic skin condition which expresses itself in redness on the face and sometimes on the neck and chest. The exact cause of Rosacea is yet unknown and many who are affected by it are unaware of their condition.
Rosacea can be effectively treated using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL). IPL uses controlled light in specific wavelengths to alleviate the inflammation, redness, pimples and uneven skin tones caused by the condition. IPL offers a gentle, long-lasting solution for those suffering from Rosacea by providing a gradual and natural improvement to the skin’s appearance.
Pigmented lesions are hypermelanocytic areas typically induced by sun exposure, the natural aging process or congenital factors.
Pigmented lesions vary widely in size, shape and depth. They can be either raised or flat and are usually a cosmetic rather than a
medical concern. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) which targets the melanin is effective in treating benign lesions and clearing them.
